Questions about printing pages?

There is a print button on the Zinio Reader tool bar, but it will only work with e-publications purchased directly from Zinio.

Printing from the actual Zinio file is problematic. That’s because the Zinio technology is still new, and many printers, particularly ones several years old, or older, don’t have the “print drivers” that will allow them to print a Zinio document.

And, there are few printers on the market that will print out a page that has a Flash animation embedded
in it.

So, the fast and easy solution if you are experiencing trouble printing pages directly from the e-paper, is to download one of the "printable" editions we supply on the various web sites. There will always be an Adobe Acrobat PDF printable version posted for those who wish to print pages.

Please note that the Adobe Acrobat PDF files we post online are large, due to all the color and graphics and images we use in the e-papers. Many printers just don’t have enough internal memory (RAM) to take the whole PDF file in one gulp and print out the entire e-paper.

If you are having problems with your printer when trying to print the whole document, you have two options. The first is to upgrade the RAM in your printer. Not an expensive option, but it still requires that the correct RAM be identified and installed.

It is easier and less expensive to just break the document up into two or even three segments and let your printer easily print out each smaller section.

You will always find several different PDF files on the web sites. One contains the entire e-publication. The others are segments of the e-paper. So, if you only want to print out a few pages, it will be faster to download and print from one of the smaller PDF files then from the PDF of the entire e-publication.
