What the heck is a "Zinio Reader"
and why in the world do I need it?

Everyone knows what the Adobe Acrobat Reader is and does. But when it was first introduced back in the 80's, people asked the same question:
What is it, and why do I need it?

The Zinio Reader is the next generation of Reader.

It enables you to read all the "true" electronic publications, just like the Abobe Acrobat Reader lets you read PDF files.

Like the Abobe Acrobat Reader, the Zinio Reader is free and easy to install. Just go out to the Zinio web site and create an account. By registering, Zinio will be able to send you the free upgrades as they become available.

Create an account, and download the Zinio Reader program. Once it has been download to your desktop, minimize your Internet connection and double-click on the Zinio Reader Installation File -- then just follow the easy instructions.

When the Zinio Reader has been successfully installed on your computer, you will get an icon on your desktop that looks like this:

Zinio Reader

That's all there is to it! Once you have this icon, all the e-papers will open for you.

Ten reasons why we use the Zinio software
and why you should use C&S Publishing

1. Zinio, LLC, is the worldwide leader in the next generation of electronic publications. Zinio currently sells more than 500,000 digital products and delivers over 20 million issues annually for its growing base of 3.5 million readers speaking different languages on behalf of hundreds of major publishers from around the world.

2. Providing information online requires an active Internet connection. Our "true" electronic publications are delivered to our readers, and once delivered, stay on their computers and can be read again and again, without the requirement of an active Internet connection. For dial-up users maintaining an Internet connection can be slow, and certinaly can get expensive.

3. With an online paper, when it is updated to the next paper the last issue is gone. Our e-publications are delivered, and so back issues can be retained or deleteed at your convenience, not someone elses.

4. Internet-only papers are not generally recognized by the State of California as a “publication.” That means that switching to an online paper would prohibit those associations who wish to publish good-faith, affirmative-action compliance ads (DVBE/DBE/MBE/WBE /SBE) from doing so. Those who use our inexpensive trade-papers for advertising would lose that benefit, and those who read the ads seeking new work would lose that information. That's a lose-lose situation.

5. C&S Publishing sells both legal and display advertising for the e-papers. Advertisers accept the powerful Zinio format. They are now generally too interested in advertising on a web page, unless it has 500,000 hits a week. C&S Publishing covers ALL of the costs to secure advertising, and remits back to the association 25% of all advertising revenue collected monthly.

6. It's FAST. Generally, with 72 hours of supplying your information, your e-publication is delivered to your readers. All you do is supply the information and proof the drafts.

7. No postage costs. Your e-publication is delivered electronically. No more postage costs, no more post office delays or hassle. Isn't this reason, by itself, enough to make you upgrade to e-papers?

8. It's green. No trees are cut down to produce the e-papers. 100% clean and green.

9. It's the future. Ask anyone under 25 and chances are excellent they will say two things. First, that they don't read a daily newspaper, and second, that they prefer to get their news and information on their computers.

10. We offer an easy, turn-key service. We do 90% of the work, remit back 25% of the advertising revenue, and you get a state-of-the-art electronic paper with color on every page, unlimited pages, Flash animation, working hyperlinks -- all in a clean, green format.
